Firebirds Secure Road Win at Lawrence

APPLETON, Wis. — The Carthage College men's soccer team defeated Lawrence in non-conference action Wednesday night at The Banta Bowl 3-0.

How it Happened
 
  • Carthage struck first in the 10th minute as Mickey Reilly scored on an assist from Aidan Crowder. 
  • Crowder got in the goals column in the 18th minute, making the score 2-0. 
  • The Firebirds lead stretched to 3-0 with a goal from Eli Schoffstall heading into the halftime break. 
  • The Carthage defense held to win the game 3-0.

"It was a good 90 minute performance tonight," said head coach Paul Leese. "Our intensity was high from the start and that allowed us to create some early chances which we scored. Everybody worked hard, did their job well and it was a well deserved victory. "
