NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The 2022 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Coaches' Preseason Poll was released Friday morning with the Carthage College football team picked seventh. 

Last year the Firebirds finished with a 3-7 overall record and 3-6 in conference play. The team starts the season on the road facing Albion on Saturday, September 3. Carthage plays two-straight home games playing North Central (Ill.) in the home opener on Saturday, September 17 at 1 p.m. and WashU for homecoming on Saturday, September 24 at 1 p.m.
