KENOSHA, Wis. — This Friday marked Senior Day as well as the end of the regular season for men's tennis as they defeated the Wheaton Thunder 6-3 at Smeds Tennis Center. With the win tonight, the team capped off their regular season at 22 wins and just 2 losses (6-1 CCIW).

Senior Daniel Moore and Yanozie Amadike opened the match on doubles court one 8-7, picking up the Firebirds' sole win in doubles as courts two and three both fell to the visitors.

Myles Krzewinski won 6-3, 6-2 on court three in singles, followed by Cooper Ferruzzi 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-1 on court five. Nicolas Welker took court four 2-6, 7-5, 6-3, before Moore won court one 6-7 (4), 6-2 (retired). Amadike closed out the match on court two, winning 6-7 (1), 7-5, 6-2.

Seniors Andre Antreassian, Gabin Breier, Alex Lacrosse, Daniel Moore, and Tripp Schulte were recognized on Senior Night tonight for the effort and contribution they put into the program over their careers at Carthage.

The Firebirds are set to host the CCIW Tournament beginning Thursday, May 5th at Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.
