KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College women's golf team took the No. 23 in this week's golftstat rankings for the spring season.
The Firebirds have been ranked in the top 25 in the nation every single week during the spring while also being ranked in the top 25 in the nation in every Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Mizuno WGCA Coaches Poll as well.
Recently, the Carthage golf squad came in second at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Spring Fling held on Saturday, April 23.
Kate Munro was named the Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Golfer of the Week on April 19. Munro finished in second place individually among the 75 golfers at the Pilot Invite, carding scores of 74 (+2) and 78 (+6) for a two-day total of 152 (+8) for the event.
Carthage will play in the Battle of the Birds which is starting on May 1 at Ives Grove Golf links.
