Firebirds Women’s Wrestling Competes at NCWWC Northwest Regional

STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The Carthage College women's wrestling team completed the Women's Collegiate Women's Wrestling Coalition (NCWWC) Northwest Regional on Sunday at Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Natalie Majer took fifth place at 116 pounds. After dropping the quarterfinal and consolation semi-round by tech fall, Majer picked up a victory in the fifth-place match by decision 8-1. Majer finished the Regional with 7.5 team points and will head to the NCWWC National Championship.

Freshman Adele Senzig registered four team points at 143 pounds. Senzig lost by fall (:40) in the quarterfinal then lost by fall (4:51) in the first round of the consolation.

The NCWWC National Championship begins on Friday, March 4 in Adrian, Mich.
