Coachs Remarks

"Great way to finish 2022! Playing Greenville is always challenging because it's impossible to replicate how they play in practice. I thought our scout group gave us three terrific days of prep which helped us get a win today. The first half was sloppy, and it took us a little while to adjust to their pressing and style. In the second half, we couldn't have played better. We shot 82% from the floor and only turned it over six times, which against The System, is hard to do. Griffin Daun gave us some great minutes, and Antuan Nesbitt continued to distribute the ball without turning it over. First time either of them had seen a style like this, and I thought they handled it nicely.

Back to the CCIW on Wednesday. We need a couple of good days of practice to get ready for Carroll!"

Up Next
  • Carthage returns to conference play on Wednesday, January 4 traveling to Carroll (Wis.) at 7 p.m.
