KENOSHA, Wis. - The Carthage College women's track and field team began its 2022-23 season today at Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center in Kenosha with the Forever Red Alumni Classic. The classic featured four schools - Carthage, Lake Forest, Bryant & Stratton, and UW-Parkside - as well as a number of program alumni. Two Firebirds took first in their respective field events, while a number of Carthage student-athletes took home top-five finishes.

"This meet was a great start for the women's program. We had a lot of great performances to build on and improve on over the season," said Carthage head women's track & field coach
Stephanie Domin.
"We are excited to have a few top ten performances and strong NCAA-ranked marks this early in the season.
Aubrey Schoeneman placed first in the shot put with a lifetime PR (personal record) of 13.35, which puts her seventh on the Carthage all-time shot put list.
Abbey Calhoun placed second in the triple jump with a PR of 11.09, which puts her third on Carthage's all-time triple jump list. We had strong performances by
Sarah Kerfin and
Teresa Topolski in the sprint events. Freshmen
Anna Kegel and
Christina Hall both had outstanding days for their collegiate debuts."

- Track and field will head to Oshkosh, Wisconsin one week from today for the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge on Saturday, December 10. The start time for the meet is to be announced.
