NEENAH, Wis. - For the second-consecutive tournament, the Carthage Firebirds women's bowling team knocked down more pins than its competitors. The team took part in the Titan Invitational in Neenah over Saturday and Sunday, taking down 7,993 pins - 197 more than second-place Coe College. Jessica Rosa (tied for fifth) - were named as all-tournament selections.
Following a day and a half of competition in which pinfall was the determining factor in naming a winner, the top four teams entered into match play to decide which team would take home the Titan Invitational trophy. The No. 1 seeded Firebirds took down UW-Oshkosh in round one, but ultimately fell to No. 2 Coe College in the championship match.

Day One:
- Carthage posted no lower than an 824 through six baker matches on day one of competition and led Coe College by 79 pins going into day two's action. The Firebirds knocked down 5,214 pins - good for an average of 869 over the six-game slate.
- Four Firebirds were slotted in the top ten at the conclusion of day one, as Caitlin Powers (third), Jessica Rosa (tied for fifth), Marianna Hristakos (seventh), and Cassie Hyland (eighth) paced Carthage.
Day Two:
- Carthage held onto its' pinfall lead after the final day of competition and defeated UW-Oshkosh in the first round of the championship bracket before falling to Coe College. The Firebirds knocked down 2,779 pins in day two's match play.

- Sophomore bowler Caitlin Powers placed third on day one, knocking down 1,119 pins en route to her first-ever all-tournament team selection.
- Sophomore student-athlete Jessica Rosa was also named as an all-tournament bowler, tying for fifth after knocking down 1,063 pins - good for a 177.2 average.
- The junior tandem of Marianna Hristakos (seventh) and Cassie Hyland (eighth) also recorded top-ten finishes for the Firebirds, taking down 1,056 and 1,052 pins, respectively.
- The Firebirds will return to their home city, competing at the SFA Ladyjack Classic in Kenosha from Friday, November 11 through Sunday, November 13.
