Coachs Remarks

"What a night for our program! I am so proud of this team and our staff and how the Firebirds have persevered through injuries, illness, and handling being such a young team. God is good all the time, and I feel incredibly blessed to lead this group. Elmhurst blocked very well tonight and served tough. The first two sets saw some lead changes, and we were able to get the final push. We really came out flat in Set three and Elmhurst played with a sense of urgency and handled us. We made a lineup adjustment, and those players really stepped up. It was a team win, and so many people contributed on Molly's senior night. I am so happy for her to get bookend CCIW Championships in her career. She plays a big role in our success. It fills good to know we ensured our piece of the championship and a bye in the first round of the CCIW tournament. We play a talented Aurora team at home on Saturday. We appreciate all the support we get from our administration, trainers, and support staff. Carthage is a special place, and our fans are the best!"
