NAPERVILLE, Ill. - After securing back-to-back shutouts in two Firebird victories, first-year goalkeeper Ainsley Stallworth has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. The award is the first for women's soccer this year. 

Stallworth, from Fresno, California, blanked the visiting North Park Vikings 1-0 in a Senior Night matchup on October 19 before shutting out the Millikin Big Blue 3-0 in a road victory this past Saturday. Stallworth turned away 10 shots between the two contests, bringing her season save total to 94. Ainsley has now registered three shutouts this season and carries a .810 save percentage, which ranks second in the conference. 

Carthage has one regular season game remaining on its 2022 schedule, as the team is set to face off with Elmhurst University in a road matchup on Wednesday, October 26 beginning at 7 p.m.
