Head Coach JW Kieckhefer

"Great to start CCIW play with a win. I am proud of us for finally showcasing our ability to grind out close sets and perform in the clutch. Our entire team is filled with guys that want to step up and I'm happy we were able to finish sets out today.

David Markes has been such a bright spot for this group through 4 matches. His ability to efficiently terminate in the middle has been really impressive considering this is his first collegiate season. He led the team in attempts, kills, and points scored, but more importantly with his demeanor and attitude.

Our ability to serve receive as the match went on that allowed us to score in the middle with David and Zach Bulthuis. I'm proud to see the continued improvement from Carter Schmidt, Peyton Wieter, and Matt Slivinski with that skill. Kyle Cohan is such a rock for us in that phase of the game and his play has been inspiring all year long."
