Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Firebirds Drop Wednesday’s Tilt at Stevens Point

Stevens Point, Wis. — To begin competition this week, the Carthage College women's soccer team fell to Wisconsin-Stevens Point 4-0 in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon at Point Soccer Bowl. 

Wisconsin-Stevens Point (4-7) got on the board first with a goal 10 minutes in off a high cross into the box. Later, the Pointers doubled their lead with a ball that went through the low right corner of the net. The Pointers added another goal in the second half going up 3-0. The home team tacked on another in the 69th minute as they went on to win 4-0. 

Carthage (3-6) returns to conference play on Saturday, October 2 starting at 5 p.m.
