Women’s Soccer Drops CCIW Home Contest to North Central

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College women's soccer team returned to the Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) action on Saturday, falling to North Central (Ill.) 3-0 at Art Keller Field. 

North Central (Ill.) (7-4-1, 2-0 CCIW) struck first to take a 1-0 lead with 11 minutes left in the first. In the second half, the Cardinals doubled their lead with a shot that hit the crossbar then headed into the net making it 2-0. The visitors added a penalty kick goal to win the game 3-0.  

Carthage (3-7, 1-1 CCIW) will not play until next Saturday, October 6 staying at home facing Augustana (Ill.) at 5 p.m.
