Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Falls to Wisconsin-La Crosse on the Road

LA CROSSE, Wis. — The Carthage College women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss to Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. 

Wisconsin-La Crosse (4-1-1) got on the board first with a goal at the 13th minute mark. Erin Otto almost tied it at one minutes later but the keeper made the save. Morgan Verbeten almost got in on the scoring for Carthage (1-5) but her shot went wide left as the Eagles held a slim 1-0 lead into the intermission break. The home team added three goals to start the second half making it 4-0. Though the Firebirds got three shots from Katie Talens, Jenny García, and McKenna Wallin, the Eagles won the contest 4-0.  

Next up, the Firebirds return home taking on Beloit on Wednesday, September 22 beginning at 7 p.m.
