WAVERLY, Iowa. — The final round of the Wartburg Fall Invitational concluded this Sunday afternoon, as the Carthage women's golf team landed a third-place finish among the 16 teams in attendance. The Firebirds shot a new one-round school best 297 (+9) today and 302 (+5) yesterday to combine for their new two-day school record low of 599 (+23). Today's scores improve on the previous school records that were set last week by the Firebirds, beating the single-day record by one stroke and the two-day record by ten strokes. St. Catherine University finished in first place with 586 (+10), followed by Illinois Wesleyan with 597 (+21).

Kate Munro carded a career-best 70 (-2) this afternoon to secure a third-place tie on the individual leaderboard and a 36-hole score of 144 (E). Adrienne Rohwedder tied for 18th, shooting 80 (+8) and an even par 72 to combine for 152 (+8). Alina Brindza shot a career-best 76 (+4) today, landing her a 23rd place tie alongside Lorelei Oomens with their mutual totals of 154 (+10). Madi McCoy shot 156 (+12) to close out the Carthage scorecard.
Freshman Maggie Bahr also placed 23rd with Brindza and Oomens after posting a 73 (+1) for the round while competing as an individual.
