Carthage Falls at No. 14 North Central

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage Firebirds traveled to Naperville to take on No. 14 North Central on Sunday at Zimmerman Stadium, dropping game three of their weekend series 7-0.

It was a triple in the second inning for the Cardinals (19-5, 13-3 CCIW) that gave them an early lead 2-0, before extending it later in the sixth. The Firebirds (11-12, 6-10 CCIW) were unable to bring a run across home plate, as they were shutout for only the third time in 23 games played this year.

Carthage is scheduled to return home next, hosting North Park on Tuesday, April 20 at 6 p.m.
