KENOSHA, Wis. — In the final home conference match of the regular season, the No. 2 Carthage College men's volleyball team collected another straight-set victory over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at Tarble Arena. 

Carthage (16-0, 10-0 CCIW) began the first with a 10-4 margin over Illinois Wesleyan (2-13, 1-9 CCIW). The Firebirds ended the set with a 15-5 run to take the first 25-9. 

In the second, the home team started with an 8-2 lead with a kill from Blake Arnold. The Titans battled back narrowing the deficit to seven until an attack error for the visitors made it 16-7. Another 9-2 gave Carthage a two-set lead 25-9. 

The Firebirds went up 14-8 with a Titans service error. A quick 8-3 run for the Firebirds moved the score to 22-11 as Carthage won the match 25-14. With the victory, the men's volleyball team wins the Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) 2021 Men's Volleyball Championship title.
