Women’s Basketball Falls at Home

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College women's basketball team hosted Millikin University on Saturday afternoon, falling 73-51 in Tarble Arena.

Carthage (0-4, 0-4 CCIW) took an early lead as a low score from Amanda Larson and a three-pointer by Ayanna Ester made it 5-2. After Millikin (4-1, 4-1 CCIW) came back and evened the score at seven, they would reclaim the lead by the end of the first quarter at 20-14, and hold a 39-21 advantage at the halftime break.

Trailing 61-31 entering the fourth quarter, Carthage would outscore the visitors 20-12 in the final 10 minutes of play before falling by a final tally of 73-51.
