MILWAUKEE, Wis.  — The Carthage College men's wrestling team concluded the MSOE Invite on Saturday at the Kern Center. 

The Firebirds collected with 6.5 points during the invite as freshman Cole Nelson led the way for Carthage with five points. Nelson won his match by decision at 141 (7-5), after taking a loss in round two, Nelson tacked on another win by major decision 15-5. Nelson won his third match of the day by fall (2:14). 

Freshman Kobe Gilbert collected two wins by decision at 174. In round two of the consolation, Gilbert won 8-1. In the next round Gilbert followed up with another win 11-6. 

Carthage returns on Saturday, December 11 for the North Central (Ill.) Invite starting at 9 a.m.
