MEQUON, Wis.  — The Carthage College men's wrestling team wrapped up the Concordia (Wis.) Open on Saturday at R. John Buuck Field House.

The Firebirds picked up 14 total team points during the open Sebastian Rosales got the Carthage scoring going with a win by fall in round one over Wheaton (Ill.) at 133 pounds. At 141 pounds, after receiving a bye, Cole Nelson won two matches by fall. River Rogers won by fall in the 149 pounds preliminaries before picking up a sudden victory over his Wisconsin-Stevens Point opponent in the first consolation round. Rogers picked up a major decision win in the second consolation round 4-2, while Kobe Gilbert added a win at 165 pounds, winning decision 10-3.

Carthage will return home to face North Central (Ill.) on Thursday, December 2, at 6:30 p.m.
