Game Recap: #22 Men's Basketball |

Men’s Basketball Defeats Finlandia at Home 106-62

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College men's basketball team collected their third win of the season beating Finlandia 106-62 at Tarble Arena on Sunday afternoon. 

Carthage (3-0) began the game with an 11-10 lead off a steal and layup from AJ Johnson. At the 9:46 mark, a layup from Anthony Bernero put the Firebirds up six at 23-17. After a three-pointer for Finlandia (0-4) cut the margin to six, Carthage ended the half with an 11-2 run to head into the intermission break up 45-30. 

Crishawn Cook extended the Carthage advantage to 21 with a bucket and free throw to start the half. With 14:51 left, Colton Sigel sank a layup making it 62-41. Another 20-6 run for the home team put them ahead 82-47 as the Firebirds cruised to the 106-62 win. 

Next up, Carthage hits the road for the first away contest of the season, taking on No. 17 Wisconsin-Oshkosh at 6 p.m.
