DESTIN, Fla. — The Carthage women's golf team carded 324 (+26) to end the first round of Golfweek's Division III Fall Invitational this Sunday afternoon. The Firebirds now hold 14th place out of the 20 teams participating in the three-day event, with Centre College taking first for the round after shooting 295 (+7) for the opening round.

Madi McCoy leads the way for the Firebirds with her sixth-place tie after shooting 74 (+2) for her first 18. Kate Munro and Adrienne Rohwedder carded mutual 80 (+8) scores and are both tied for 42nd, while Alina Brindza shot 87 (+15) as an individual. Symantha Rohwedder carded 90 (+18) for the evening, while Lorelei Oomens rounded out the Firebird scorecard with 92 (+20).
