Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Carthage Falls Short in Non-Conference Road Game at Whitewater

WHITEWATER, Wis. — The Carthage College women's soccer team fell in non-conference action to Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday night at Robert W. Fiskum Field.

Wisconsin-Whitewater (10-4) struck first in the 33rd minute with a low cross into the box put in the net for a 1-0 lead. After Carthage (3-9) tallied six shots in the half, the Warhawks took a 1-0 lead into the intermission break. The home team collected another goal with a shot on the top of the box that hit the low right corner of the net for a 2-0 margin. Four minutes later, Wisconsin-Whitewater scored off a header making it 3-0. The home team struck again off a rebound off the post, as the Warhawks won it 4-0.

Carthage stays on the road playing Wheaton (Ill.) on Saturday, October 16 at 7 p.m.
