Lady Reds Blow by Vikings 18-6

Georgetown, Texas — The Carthage College women's lacrosse got back in the win column with a 18-6 victory over Berry on Sunday at Varsity Fields. 

The Lady Reds (4-2) jumped out to a 11-1 lead to begin the first before Mairead Brown found the back of the net to give Carthage a 12-2 advantage heading into the halftime break. 

The Lady Reds put in four unanswered goals to go up 16-6 with 22:52 remaining. Though the Vikings (1-7) scored four, Carthage went on to take the victory 18-6.

The next game for the Lady Reds starts on Tuesday, March 10 facing Southwestern at 6 p.m.

"The girls played very well today after a long day of travel. Our goal was to set our teammates up all game and that's exactly what we did. We are moving on to the host team, southwestern, on Tuesday."
