KENOSHA, Wis.  — The Carthage College men's basketball team suffered a 91-81 loss to Illinois Wesleyan in the Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) competition to close out the regular season on Saturday at Tarble Arena. 

The Red Men (15-10, 7-9 CCIW) started with a 10-3 margin over the Titans (17-8, 11-5 CCIW). At the 14:48 mark, a jumper from Sean Johnson extended the lead to 18-10. Later in the half, Kienan Baltimore sank a jumper to put the home team up 28-18. Illinois Wesleyan rallied getting as close as five and used a 13-9 run to come within one with 1:51 remaining in the half, however, Carthage would head into the intermission break up 48-46. 

To begin the second half, the Titans again got within one at 55-54 before tying the game at 58. Illinois Wesleyan later took control of the game with an 11-4 run to make it 69-62. The Red Men later responded as a three pointer from Preston Laketa made it 80-76, however, the Titans closed out the game with a 11-5 run to take the victory 91-81. 

Carthage enters next week's CCIW Tournament as the No. 6 seed and will travel to No. 3 seed Illinois Wesleyan on Tuesday, February 25 starting at 7 p.m.

• Five different Red Men finished with double-digit points: Jordon Kedrowski (18), Kienan Baltimore (17), Adam Radcliffe (12), Brad Perry (11) and Preston Laketa (10). 
• Baltimore tied his career-high in assists with 10 while Perry grabbed seven rebounds.
