MEMPHIS, TENN.—The spring break stretch has begun for the Carthage College men's lacrosse team, who squared-off against Rhodes College at Mason Field in Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday.
Noah Lindner's four goals within the first half propelled the Red Men to a 9-3 lead at intermission, and helped his team maintain an 11-5 edge with 5:25 left in the third before Rhodes fired back with a 6-0 run to tie the game 11-11 after 60:00. David Perez, who also scored the game-tying goal for Rhodes with 2:44 left in the fourth, scored at the 3:00 mark of overtime to give his team a 12-11 victory over the Red Men.
Colin Poitras tallied a hat trick for the Red Men to round out their multiple goal scorers.
Andy Szun, who notched three points for Carthage against Rhodes, is now six points from tying all-time leading scorer
Danny Morse's 259 points.
Carthage finished the game with a season-high 11 caused turnovers, where

The Red Men were victims of 7-of-9 infractions assessed in the contest. Red Men goalkeeper
Kyle Guthrie notched 20 saves in a complete-game effort for Carthage. Cameron Link notched six saves in net for Rhodes.
The Red Men's first loss of 2019 gives them a 4-1, 0-0 CCIW mark while Rhodes improves to 4-1.
Rhodes 12, Red Men 11
The Red Men and Lynx were deadlocked at 11 shots apiece in the first quarter, but it was Carthage who ended the frame with a 4-2 lead despite failing three clear attempts.
Noah Lindner, who notched a pair of first-quarter goals, added two more in the second frame that saw Carthage outscore Rhodes 5-1 en route to a 9-3 halftime lead. The Red Men maintained a six-goal 11-5 cushion with 5:25 left in the third before Rhodes closed the contest with a 7-0 run. David Perez played hero for Rhodes with the game-tying goal with 2:44 left in the fourth to make the score 11-11, and the game-winning tally with 3:00 remaining in OT to give his team a 12-11 win over Carthage.
Rhodes outshot Carthage 59-38 in the contest.
The Red Men will face Huntingdon College at Samford Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama on Thursday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m.
