Matt Slivinski's career-high 19 kills propelled the Red Men to a 3-0 sweep.
It took Slivinski 17 kills before he finally recorded an error midway through the third set, where he closed the game with a .486 hitting percentage along with 10 digs. Reigning MCVL Offensive Player of the Week
Evan Walsh turned in a 12-kill effort and a team-leading 13 digs.
Kai Cromwell contributed 11 digs and a pair of blocks for the Red Men defense.
Matt Reinsel, who finished with 41 assists, notched three blocks along with
Parker Connolly and
Eric Winter.
Carthage hit .257 as a team, and held MSOE to a .124 figure.
The Red Men improve to 10-1, 0-0 MCVL while MSOE falls to 7-5, 2-2 NACC.

The Red Men won all three sets by a 25-21 score. The opening frame resulted in four lead changes throughout the early stages before Carthage grabbed the advantage for good off an MSOE error, a
Kai Cromwell kill and service ace that made the score 10-9. Five different Red Men tallied kills in the opening set, combined with 12 Raider errors.
Slivinski's nine kills in set two propelled the Red Men. Slivinski and Walsh each tallied five kills in the third set to lock up the 3-0 sweep for Carthage.
The Red Men will return to action on Wednesday, February 20 at North Central College (Ill.) in Naperville, Illinois at 7:30 p.m.
