KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College men's basketball team defeated Rose-Hulman in the final game of the Honda of Kenosha Classic 73-63 Saturday evening in Tarble Arena.

The Red Men (5-0) started the game with a 16-9 lead over the Fightin' Engineers (2-2) off a jumper from Jordon Kedrowski. A layup from Fillip Bulatovic with 4:03 left in the half made the Carthage advantage grow to 12 at 34-22 before taking a 38-28 score into the intermission break.

The Red Men continued the momentum in the second half as a dunk from Sean Johnson made it 45-35 to start. Rose-Hulman climbed back into the game shrinking the deficit to nine with a Fightin' Engineers layup to make it 62-53 with two minutes left. Carthage went on to take the victory 73-63.

The Red Men return to the court on Wednesday, December 4 in the first Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) game of the season facing North Central (Ill.) at home starting at 7 p.m.

Head Coach Bosko Djurickovic

"What a fun weekend at the Honda of Kenosha Classic. It is the first time we have been 5-0 in quite some time. We battled today against a very smart and well coached Rose Hulman team. We are going to enjoy a few days off for Thanksgiving Break. We have the conference opener is next up against an experienced North Central team. I hope we can continue to build on our start and keep moving in the right direction!"
