Red Men Remain Undefeated with 122-64 Win Over Finlandia

KENOSHA, Wis. — Playing in game one of the Honda of Kenosha Classic, the Carthage College men's basketball team defeated Finlandia 122-64 Friday night in Tarble Arena.

The Red Men (4-0) got on the board first with a three-pointer from Jordon Kedrowski. While the Lions (0-6) would take a 7-6 lead moments later, Carthage would reclaim it with back-to-back buckets from Sean Johnson, beginning an 11-0 run for the home team. Fillip Bulatovic would find Kedrowski for a score with just over seven minutes left in the half, giving the Red Men a 20-point lead. Carthage would enter the locker room at the half with a 66-29 advantage.

It was more of the same in the second half, as the Red Men continued to build upon their lead, going out in front by 40 and hitting the 50 mark with just over 11 minutes left. Carthage would go on to win by a final score of 122-64.

The Red Men will play in the Honda of Kenosha Classic championship game tomorrow afternoon, taking on Rose-Hulman at 3 p.m.

Head Coach Bosko Djurickovic

"It was not not an easy game to play. Finlandia plays hard and made some nice offensive plays but were outsized and outmanned. We had solid individual efforts from a number of Red Men. totalling 34 assists and 62 rebounds. We play Rose Hulman tomorrow, winner in a great first game vs Aurora. They are an experienced team that plays well on both ends. We need to be ready to go."
