Lady Reds Drop Dual Match on the Road

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team fell to UChicago in a dual match 233.5-66.5 on Saturday.

Leading the way for the Lady Reds was Becca Rutkowski who collected first place in the 100-yard and third place in the 200-yard freestyle events. Rutkowski was also a swimmer in the 200-yard freestyle relay with swimmers Heather Walker, Gianna McGuire, and DeAnn Jones who recorded a time of 1:39.67.

Jordyn Bloode registered second and fourth in the 100-yard and 500-yard freestyle while Walker clocked a time of 1:02.97 in the 100-yard backstroke.

Elise Merucci and DeAnn Jones registered times of 2:22.96 and 24.85 in the 200-yard butterfly and 50-yard freestyle respectively.

Carthage stays on the road competing in the Calvin College Quad Invitational first day of the event starting Friday, November 8 at 6 p.m.
