Red Men Suffer Dual Match Loss

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Carthage College men's swimming and diving team fell to UChicago 196-94 on Saturday. 

Cooper Hawkins led the way for the Red Men who collected first place in the 500-yard freestyle with a clocked time of 5:02.30. Mitchell Mages placed second in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke and was also a member of the 100-yard freestyle relay team that collected a first-place time of 1:25.77 with swimmers Nick Nevins, Adam Moskus and Nick Seroni

The relay team of Nevins, Mages, Seroni and Moskus tallied a time of 1:35.35 for second. Seroni also placed second in both the 200-yard and 100-yard butterfly while Nevins finished second in the 50-yard and third in the 100-yard freestyle. 

David Waitley and Jake Darlinger both recorded second in the 1000-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly respectively. 

Carthage stays on the road traveling for the Calvin College Invitational starting Friday, November 8 at 6 p.m.
