Lady Reds Blank North Park 6-0 at Home

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College women's soccer team collected a 6-0 shutout victory over North Park in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) competition Wednesday at Art Keller Field. 

Carthage (6-6-2, 3-1-1 CCIW) went up 42 seconds into the match as Libby Snyder found the back of the net to put the Lady Reds on the board 1-0 over the Vikings (3-12, 0-5 CCIW). Courtney Lee netted two goals to go up 3-0 heading into the intermission break. Carthage added another goal in 38 seconds into the second half from Morgan Verbeten to make the score 4-0. Kenzie Zocher put one in the net in the 73rd to shift it to 5-0. Samantha Sisto scored in the 87th minute to give the Lady Reds the 6-0 victory. 

Carthage returns to action on Saturday, October 26 traveling to face Millikin at 5 p.m.

  • Five different Lady Reds registered a goal on the day as Courtney Lee scored two goals for her second and third goals on the season. 
  • The Lady Reds outshot the Vikings 33-3. 
  • Goalkeepers Sara Lieffrig and Tess Wilson made only one save each for Carthage in line for the combined shutout.
