KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College women's lacrosse team dropped their third straight game Wednesday night, falling for the first time at home to Aquinas College, 13-8.

The loss sends the Lady Reds to 4-3 on the season, while the Saints improve to 4-1.

Carthage opened strong, taking a 2-0 lead just over five minutes into the game behind goals from Jessie Gibson and Rachell Mussell, but a 4-0 run but Aquinas quickly put the Lady Reds in a 4-2 hole with 14:55 remaining in the half.

Megan McNamara pulled the Lady Reds within one with her first goal of the game, but another 3-0 run from the Saints extended their halftime lead to 8-3 after the opening 30 minutes.

Down the stretch, Carthage and Aquinas exchanged goals in the second half with both teams scoring five in the half to reach the 13-8 final.

McNamara was the leading scorer for the Lady Reds in the loss, tallying career-highs in goals and assists with three of each to record six points.  Jessie Gibson added a second half goal to give her two in the game and Mussell, Bryanna Barrera and Nicole Bowman each scored one.
