KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Lady Reds won their second straight match at home on Friday night as the women's volleyball team swept Lake Forest College, 3-0.
The win moves the Lady Reds to 9-3 in 2017, while the Foresters fall to 5-8.
The Lady Reds out hit the Foresters in each of the three sets and hit .121 to LFC's .024. The Lady Reds also dominated the service line as Carthage rattled off seven aces with
Shannon Kebisek,
Luci Krenzke and
Ellie LeCount each accounting for two apiece.
LeCount dished out a match-high 23 assists in the win with
Megan Behrendt leading the way on the receiving end with 12 kills.
Defensively, Carthage recorded eight blocks as a team to Lake Forest's seven, with
Megan Fallert,
Rachael Kisten and
Katie Laio with three each. Each of Fallert's blocks was solo.
Four Lady Reds were also in double figures in digs on the defensive side of the net, with
Luci Krenzke turning in a match-high 19. Joining Krenzke was LeCount with 14, Behrendt with 11 and Kebsiek with ten.
Carthage returns to action to conclude their six-game home stand on Tuesday, September 27th as the Lady Reds host College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Elmhurst College at 7:00 p.m.
