KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College women's soccer team (5-2, 0-0 CCIW) will face their first ranked opponent of the season in #2 University of Chicago on Wednesday, September 20 at the Stagg Field Complex (4:00 p.m.). The Lady Reds will conclude their two-game week on Sunday, September 24 in a home bout against Concordia University Chicago at 3:30 p.m.
The Lady Reds are in pursuit of a four-game win streak, but standing in the way is a Maroons team that's surrendered just two goals in six games. The dynamic duo of
Kelsey Dejno and
Erin Otto will look to widen that figure. Dejno paces Carthage in scoring with six goals for 12 points while
Erin Otto's (3g, 4a) four assists leads the CCIW. As a team, the Lady Reds sit atop the CCIW and rank 16
th in NCAA Division III with 17 assists.

Emily Furmanek, who owns six starts, carries a 1.57 goals against average and a .714 save percentage in 459:27 of duty this season.
ABOUT #2 UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO (6-0, 0-0 UAA)
The 2016 campaign saw University of Chicago advance to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Semifinal in Salem, Va., where they fell to Messiah College 1-0 OT to end things 18-4-1, 4-3 UAA. Among those 18 wins was a 2-0 decision over the Lady Reds at Art Keller Field.
The Maroons currently rank amongst NCAA Division III's top-10 teams in assists per game (3.93), points per game (11.50), shots per game (27.67), shots on goal per game (14.50), total assists (23) and total points (69).
Jenna McKinney paces Chicago in scoring with five goals and one assist for 11 points. Mia Calamari's five assists this season ranks 12
th among NCAA Division III players. The Maroons goalkeeping staff carries a 0.33 goals against average and a .714 save percentage in six games this season. The lone goals surrendered this season occurred in a 3-1 win over Illinois Wesleyan, and a 3-1 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
Amy Reifert is in her 27
th season as Chicago head women's soccer coach. Her 331 career victories prior to 2017 ranks 10
th on the all-time NCAA Division III Women's Soccer wins list. The Lady Reds own a 1-7-2 all-time record against the Maroons.
ABOUT CONCORDIA CHICAGO (1-4-2, 0-0 NACC)
The Cougars will face Benedictine University and Lakeland University this week prior to their showdown with the Lady Reds on Sunday. Their first victory of the season came in a 2-0 decision over Illinois College on September 16.
Sarah LaCost and Sydney Fuller, who both have three points on the season, sit atop the Cougars' scoring list. LaCost's 26 shot attempts this season is more than triple of any other Cougar. Goalkeeper Allyson Krajnak carries a .793 save percentage and a 2.57 goals against average in five starts this season.
Kayla Braffet is in her first season as Concordia Chicago head women's soccer coach. The Lady Reds will look to keep their undefeated 3-0 all-time record against the Cougars intact.
