GENEVA, OHIO—Two members of the Carthage College women's track & field team participated in day two of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Spire Sports Complex in Geneva, Ohio on Friday.
Elanta Slowek represented Carthage in the high jump while
Morgan Young competed in the shot put.

The Lady Reds currently sit in second place with 28 points, trailing Ithaca College's 30 points.

Young gave Carthage their fourth All-American honor of the national meet with a personal-best, second-place toss of 14.61m (47-11.25). She managed to eclipse the 14.00m mark on all six attempts, the only competitor to do so. Young registered a 14.21m on her first throw to secure a spot in the finals. She only improved from that point forward before topping out at 14.61m on her final shot put throw of her collegiate career.

Young's toss added eight points to Carthage's team score, which gives them 28 points after day two.

Slowek topped out at 1.62m in the high jump en route to 15
th place. Slowek successfully cleared the bar at 1.57m on her first attempt before she eclipsed 1.62m on her second crack at the height.

The Lady Reds will make a final push toward an NCAA Division III Team National Championship tomorrow, Saturday, May 27, where Young will join
Mia Bennett in the hammer throw at 10:30 a.m. (ET).
