KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College men's volleyball remained undefeated in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League on Friday night with a three-set sweep of the Wittenberg University Tigers at Tarble Arena, 3-0.

The win improves the #7 Red Men to 15-1 overall and 13-0 in the MCVL, while Wittenberg falls to 9-13 and 6-6 in the league.

Carthage hit .272 for the match behind hitting performances of .320, .233 and .270 in the sweep.

Griffin Shields led the Red Men with 13 kills in the match followed by
Marc Hansen with 11 and
Braeden Waumans with eight. Hansen led Carthage with a .450 hitting percentage, getting his 11 kills on 20 attempts while committing just two errors.

Matt Reinsel turned in a match-high 32 of Carthage's 38 total assists in the win.

Defensively the Red Men were led by
Max Bongratz at the net with four total blocks and Waumans led with eight digs.

The Red Men return to Tarble Saturday afternoon for a matinee matchup with Mount St. Joseph University at 3:00 p.m.
