ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Carthage College men's volleyball team completed a successful weekend on Saturday with a 3-0 win at Fontbonne University.

The sweep is the Red Men's fifth-straight following a pair of five-setters in February and moves Carthage to 13-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League and 14-1 overall, while the Griffins fall to 9-11 and 4-10 in the MCVL.

Matt Reinsel, who currently ranks fourth on Carthage's career assists record list with 1,466, added 33 more in Saturday's win as he set the Red Men up to hit a season-best .453 as the Red Men pounced on the Griffins with hitting performances of .406, .370 and .593 to win 25-18, 25-15, 25-12.

Griffin Shields all hit .500 or better with
Griffin Shields leading the Red Men with 16 kills.Â
Marc Hansen followed Shields with 12 kills on a .556 hitting performance. Lillig, Bongratz and
Braeden Waumans each finished with five kills.

Cody Bolan had a match-high 13 digs on Saturday and the Red Men dominated at the net on the defensive side as well, as Carthage finished the match with nine blocks to Fontbonne's three. Bongratz led the Red Men with six total blocks in the win.

Carthage returns to Kenosha next weekend for a pair of matches with Wittenberg University on Friday, March 17
th and Mount St. Joseph University on Saturday, March 18
th.
