BLOOMINGTON, ILL.—The Carthage College women's soccer team invaded the Neis Soccer Complex for a Saturday-matinee against #17 Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill. Each team mustered seven shots on goal in the contest, but the Titans buried two of them en route to a 2-0 victory over the Lady Reds.

Danielle Noverini each contributed two shots on target for the Carthage offense.
The Lady Reds, who peppered a 3-0 shots on goal advantage within the opening nine minutes, fell victim to a 16-10 margin in shots. Carthage goalkeeper
Emily Furmanek tallied five saves in the complete-game outing while Kelly McCarthy turned away five shots in net for Illinois Wesleyan.
The Lady Reds fall to 9-7, 2-4 CCIW while the Titans up their mark to 13-3, 5-1 CCIW.

Carthage set the tone with three shots on goal within the opening nine minutes before their foul shifted momentum in Illinois Wesleyan's direction. The Titans peppered five shots over the next 12 minutes of play before they tacked on their first goal. Ellie Crabtree did the honors off a free kick 40 yards out in the 31
st minute to give Illinois Wesleyan a 1-0 edge.
The Titans made the score 2-0 in the 48
th minute, thanks to Cameron Hindal's cross pass to Jordan Ellerbrook inside the box. Ellerbrook finished the one-timer for her third goal of the season.
The Lady Reds will return to action at Carroll University (Wis.) on Wednesday, October 25 at 5:00 p.m.
