CHICAGO, Ill. – The Carthage College women's volleyball team dropped their first conference match of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling at North Park University, 3-1.
The loss sends the Lady Reds to 14-6 and 4-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in 2017, while the Vikings improve to 13-9 and 2-3 in the CCIW.
After taking the first set, 25-23, the Lady Reds dropped the next three sets, hitting just .071 as a team in the defeat.
Megan Behrendt led Carthage with 14 kills in the match and
Shannon Kebisek added 12 of her own.
Ellie LeCount had 29 assists in the match.
Katie Laio turned in a match-high four blocks and Behrendt added a match-high 22 digs in the loss.
The Lady Reds will look to regroup for a huge match on Wednesday as Carthage heads to Millikin University to face the Big Blue who is the last undefeated team in the CCIW.
