KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College men's swimming and diving team dominated the competition in the pool Saturday, January 7th, as the Red Men took down Augustana College, 184-93, at Koenitzer Aquatics Center.

The Red Men opened the meet in impressive fashion, taking first in the 200 medley relay thanks to
Sam Gabriel,
Paul Devereux,
Chris Riordan and
Lee Hollman [1:35.94].

Chris Russo took turned in the first individual win for Carthage on the afternoon, swimming to a first place finish in the 200 free [1:45.94]. In order of events, other Red Men to win their respective events included
Sam Gabriel in the 100 back [52.37],
Chris Riordan in the 100 breast [59.07],
Nick Sall in the 200 fly [2:04.84] and again later in the 500 free [4:56.43],
James Weslaski in the 50 free [22.01], the 100 free [48.71] and later in the 100 fly [55.13],
Nate Rodriguez in the 200 breaststroke [2:14.72] and finally
Mitch Scarski in the 200 IM [1:59.88].

Carthage concluded the swimming portion of the day with a first place time in the 200 free relay by Devereux, Hollman,
James Hasbrouck and Weslaski [1:26.91].

Aaron San Juan won the men's one-meter diving competition with a final score of 165.50.

The Red Men will return to the pool along with the Lady Reds in two weeks when Carthage travels to the Windy City to compete at the University of Illinois-Chicago Flames Invitational on Friday, January 20th at 5:00 p.m.
