KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College men's volleyball team will host two Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League opponents at Tarble Arena this weekend. The Red Men will take on the Duhawks of Loras College on Friday, February 19
th at 7 p.m. and the Cardinals of North Central College on Saturday, February 20
th at 3Â p.m. The Red Men were ranked No. 3 in the February 16
th AVCA Coaches Top 15 Poll.

th. Carthage is currently tied with Benedictine University (Ill.) and the Milwaukee School of Engineering for first place in the MCVL. Carthage holds the best overall record, followed by Benedictine at 9-5 and MSOE at 7-4. Carthage's

The Duhawks enter the contest coming off of a 3-1 win (25-19, 25-21, 20-25, 25-20) over North Central on Friday, February 12
th. The Duhawks's two conference losses come from Benedictine (Ill.) (3-1) and Dominican (3-0). The Duhawks's head coach is Jeremy Thornburg. Greg Kinney leads the Duhawks with 99 total kills and an average of 2.36 kills per set. Setter Shayne Marquez has collected 233 assists this season and averages 5.18 assists per set. Leading the Duhawks in blocking is Jimmy Comps with 43 total blocks and a blocks per set average of 1.16. Blair Anderson leads with 70 digs and averages 1.84 digs per set.

Before playing the Red Men on Saturday, the Cardinals of North Central College will take on the Milwaukee School of Engineering, ranked No. 15 in the most recent AVCA poll, on Friday night in Milwaukee, Wis. The Cardinals enter this weekends competitions after a 1-3 loss to Loras College on Friday, February 12
th. This is the first year of existence for the men's volleyball program at North Central College. Kyle Exline is he head coach of the Cardinals and was previously a graduate assistant coach for both the men's and women's volleyball programs at Carthage College from 2011 to 2013. Jacob Zemba currently leads the Cardinals in kills with 81 total kills and averages 2.31 kills per set. Setter Raymond Kraus has collected 248 total assists on the season and averages 7.52 assists per set. Max Lawrence leads the Cardinals in blocks with 20 total blocks and averages 0.59 blocks per set.
