GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Carthage College men's volleyball team (10-1, 3-0 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League) opened the road portion of their conference season at Greenville College as they took on the Panthers (5-3, 0-1 MCVL) at the H.J. Long Gymnasium.

Carthage easily took the first two sets with a score of 25-12 in each set. Greenville attempted to make a comeback to earn a win in the third set but would fall short as the Red Men won 25-23, securing a 3-0 sweep of the Panthers. The Red Men's seventh sweep in-a-row moves Carthage to 3-0 in MCVL play.

As a team, the Red Men collected 29 kills, six service aces, eight blocks, 26 assists, 19 digs, and hit .375.
Griffin Shields led with nine kills, followed by
Will Craft with six and
J.P. Tulacka with five, respectively.
Tony Allen and Tulacka each earned two aces.
Zach Lillig and Tulacka each compiled four blocks, accompanied by Shields with three.
Matt Reinsel recorded 25 assists and
Marc Hansen and
Scotty Adamczyk each made four digs.

The Red Men travel to St. Louis, Mo. on Saturday to take on Fontbonne University (6-2. 0-1 MCVL) in a 2 p.m. match.
