VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Carthage College Lady Reds soccer fell to 0-2 on the season following a 3-0 setback to Christopher Newport University Friday in both team's opening matches of the 2015 Virginia Wesleyan University Virginia Wesleyan Atlantic Orthopedic Specialists Classic at VWU's Foster Field.

Abby Alm was under-fire all night as Christopher Newport outshout the Lady Reds 24-3 and 13-2 on goal.
Christopher Newport got their first goal just before half as Kaylie Deshler put away a one-touch finish off a MiAsia Pinckney assist in the 42nd minute. Kayla Locklear added the Captains' second goal in the 57th minute and Kaylie Deshler finished off the scoring with her second goal of the night in the 84th minute.
