Red Men To Open 2015 With Colorado College Tuesday

COLORADO SPRINGS – The Carthage College men's soccer team will open their 2015 season Tuesday, September 1st at 3PM MDT/4PM CT, as the Red Men take on Colorado College at Stewart Field to close-out their six day trip out west.

Tuesday's match will be the first ever meeting between Carthage and Colorado College.  
 
Steve Domin enters his 21st season as the men's soccer coach at Carthage College with a career record of 206-151-32.  Since Thursday, Domin and his coaching staff have been training the men's soccer team in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado at sites which include the Colorado School of Mines, Denver's Washington Park, the Colorado Rapids' Dicks Sporting Goods Park and the United State Air Force Academy.
 
Last season, the Red Men went 9-10-0, missing out on the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin for the first time since 2003 following a 2-5 CCIW conference record. 
 
The Red Men will return to the Chicago metropolitan area Wednesday in preparation for the Bob Bapista Invitational hosted by Wheaton College.  Carthage will face Washington University (Mo.) Friday at 2PM followed by Bethel University (Minn.) on Saturday at 2PM.
