Women's Lacrosse Edges Concordia (Wis.), 10-9, on April 8

Lady Reds Play Host to Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday

The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (7-4, 1-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) edged Carroll University (Wis., 6-4), 10-9, on Wednesday, April 8 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
 
The Lady Reds led, 8-4, at halftime.  Madison Griffin (So., Parker, Colo./Ponderosa) led Carthage with four goals, two assists and three ground balls, while Mackenzie Day (So., Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) had three goals.  Lady Reds goalkeeper Taylor Sopron (Jr., La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) collected 19 saves.  Allison Kurek led the Falcons with five goals.
 
The Lady Reds entertain CCIW-opponent Illinois Wesleyan University (6-5, 1-0 CCIW) on Saturday, April 11 in a 1 p.m. contest, also at Art Keller Field.
