Carthage 9, Edgewood 0Carthage 5, St. Norbert 4The Carthage women's tennis team (17-1, 7-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked No. 13 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's March 26 NCAA Division III Central Region poll, competed in a double-dual meet against Edgewood College (15-8) and St. Norbert College (18-6) on Monday, April 6, in Green Bay, Wis. The Lady Reds blanked the Eagles 9-0, and then edged the Green Knights, 5-4.

Haleigh McPeek (Sr., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 19-5) won both of her matches at No. 1 singles, defeating the Eagles' Morgan Wilson 6-0, 6-1 and then Elizabeth Manlick 6-4, 6-1.
Max Mella (Fr., Warren, Ill./Warren Township, 15-8) split at No. 2 singles, winning her match over Edgewood's Anna Miles 6-3, 6-0 and then falling to St. Norbert's Katherin Ake 6-2, 6-3.
Abbi Howell (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 20-8) split her matches at No. 3 singles, winning against Edgewood but then falling to St. Norbert, as did
Taylor Bolyard (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper, 19-5) at No. 4 singles.
Kristen Kalinka (So., Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph, 9-4) won both of her matches at No. 5 singles, as did
Kirsten Peterson (Jr., Hastings, Minn./Hastings, 21-5) at No. 6 singles.

The No. 1 doubles tandem of McPeek and Mella (23-5) defeated Edgewood's pair of Wilson and Laura Olsen 8-5, and then went on to defeat St. Norbert's team of Manlick and Nancy Chybowski by the same margin. The duo of Bolyard and Kalinka (24-4) won both of their matches at No. 2 doubles, however, the team of Howell and Peterson (6-2) split at No. 3 doubles defeating Edgewood 8-3, but then falling to St. Norbert 9-7.

The Lady Reds compete in a double-dual meet against Lake Forest College and Concordia University (Wis.) on Sunday, April 12, at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha Wis. First serve against the Foresters is slated for 9:30 a.m., and the match against the Falcons is set for 4 p.m.
