The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (6-4, 1-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) opened its CCIW-schedule on Wednesday, April 1 with a 24-0 win over Carroll University (Wis., 0-6, 0-4 CCIW) at Schneider Stadium in Waukesha, Wis.

Carthage led, 15-0, at halftime, and the Lady Reds outscored the Pioneers, 9-0, in the second period.Â
Madison Griffin (So., Parker, Colo./Ponderosa) led Carthage with five goals, five assists and three ground balls.Â
Hannah Bellenbaum (Sr., Lake Oswego, Ore.) scored four goals with four ground balls,
Rachel Mussell (Fr., Mendota Heights, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) three goals with one assist,
Elizabeth Wittenborg (Jr., Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) three goals with one assist and
Mackenzie Day (So., Greenwood Village, Colo./Cherry Creek) three goals with a ground ball.
