Men's Lacrosse Defeata Hope College, 17-5, on March 21

Red Men Bring an Eight-Game Win Streak into Wednesday's Dubuque Game

The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (8-0, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) extended its season-opening win streak to eight games on Saturday, March 21 with a 17-5 win over Hope College (2-4) at Van Andel Stadium at Hope College. 
 
Carthage led, 4-3, after the first period, 7-3 at halftime and 12-4 going into the final period.  Jared Ferrell (Jr., Trabuco Canyon, Calif./El Toro) led the Red Men with three goals, one assist and three ground balls, while Dylan Harris (Fr., Carlsbad, Calif.) had three goals and four ground balls.  Rémy Giacotto (Sr., Elmwood Park, Ill./Oak Park-Fenwick) scored one goals and converted 21-of-24 faceoffs, and goalkeeper Ryan Smith (So., Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) collected six saves.  Gunnar Elder the Flying Dutchmen with two goals. 
 
Carthage opens its CCIW-schedule on Wednesday, March 25 by playing host to the University of Dubuque in a 6 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
