The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (4-2, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) defeated DePauw University (2-2), 13-11, on Sunday, March 15 at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.

DePauw led by two points at halftime, 7-5. There were three ties in the second half, the last one at 10-10, before Carthage's
Elizabeth Wittenborg scored the go-ahead goal at 9:03. The Lady Reds scored two more goals to go up by three, 13-10, en route to a 13-11 decision.

Rachel Mussell (Fr., Mendota Heights, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) led Carthage with four goals, one ground ball and two caused turnovers.Â
Madison Griffin (So., Parker, Colo./Ponderosa) had three goals with an assist and three ground balls, while
Shannon Long (Fr., Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway Central) added two goals. Goalkeeper
Taylor Sopron (Jr., La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) collected four saves. Carey Kunz and Emma Flynn scored two goals each for the Tigers.

Carthage travels to Beloit, Wis., on Wednesday, March 18 to play Beloit College (2-2) in a 7 p.m. game at Strong Stadium.
